Halloweekend is a pretty nuts time for college students, especially if you’re a freshman. There’s a lot of pressure to go out, have the best costume, and post the best instagram picture.
Don’t stress over this stuff! It’s no big deal, and I actually knew quite a few people who didn’t go out because it was just too much of a hassle to deal with. If you want to go out but don’t really want to go alone or pick your own costume, going out with a group of friends is a great option.
If you decide to go out with a group of friends, dressing up together is even more fun. You can find each other super easily at a big party, and the instagram pictures are awesome.
These costumes are perfect for you and your group of friends to have a picture perfect college Halloweekend.

GROUP HALLOWEEN COSTUMES
1. INMATES FROM HOLES
Grab some orange pants and white crop tops give everyone a heavy dusting of bronzer in place of dirt, and put an interesting spin on probably every college students worst nightmare.
Make sure you take your Halloweekend easy, and don’t end up being anactualinmate!
2. THREE BLIND MICE
This is a super easy and super cute one to throw together last minute. All you need is a cane, sunglasses, mouse ears, and dark clothing. Just make sure you and your friends are in a group, so people understand what you are.
3. CAVE WOMEN
Channel some inner flinstones and dress up as cavewomen! This one is so cute when pulled off, especially in a big group.

4. TOURISTS
Tourists is a fairly easy costume to pull off, and it’s really funny! This costume option gets funnier the more details you put into it, and it’s even more fun if you act like a tourist the whole night.
5. BOXERS
This is such a cute halloween costume, and I absolutely love it! Get a nice silk robe, some boxing gloves, put your hair in two dutch braids and use some bronzer and purple eyeshadow to make yourself look a little rough around the edges.
6. FRAT BOYS
This is the funniest, and probably the easiest costume to put together extremely last minute. Grab your best frat boy clothes, and enjoy a night of constant joking.

7. TEQUILA SHOT
This group costume needs to be worn in groups of three. I love how this one can be put together so last minute, and is just as funny as it is cute.
All you need is two friends, and outfits that match your individual labels.
8. MERMAIDS
Live in a cold climate and want to bring some warmth to the beginning of winter? Or, live somewhere tropical (lucky) and want to bring a mermaid on shore? This is the perfect costume for you and your group of friends!
9. PRINCESS MUGSHOTS
This costume selection is perfect for a group of friends. However, it takes a lot of coordination to pull this one off. The costumes can be more complicated, and the makeup needs to be spot on.
Considering this, these costumes look absolutely amazing. They’re super creative, and make awesome instagram pictures. If planning, and going above and beyond for Halloween is something your group of friends would be in to, give this costume a shot!

10. MEAN GIRLS
This is an iconic Halloween costume for a group of friends. Surprisingly easy to pull off, this is also an option to throw together within the last week leading up to your college Halloweekend.
To go above and beyond with this costume, you can watch the movie before hand and really get into character. Such a classic movie will be a hit as a costume!
11. A BUNCH OF BLOODY RIPPED THINGS
Girls are dressed like thiseverywhereon Halloweekend nights. I never really understood why, because I’m pretty sure no one knows what this costume is supposed to be representing.
While doing research to write this post, I realized that the reason girls dressed like this for Halloweekend was because it is SUPER cheap. I’m talking $5-$8/person. If your budget is tight, this is a great option!
The supplies below is for 5-6 friends, and is between $6 and $7/person. A total steal!
12. SOLO CUPS
If pong is your crews speciality, consider dressing up as solo cups for your college Halloweekend. This costume choice is really cute, easy to throw together, and funny.

13. SWAT TEAM MEMBERS
SWAT team members is a really fun group costume. Even though this costume looks great as an individual, it looks even better when you’re in a group… just like actual SWAT!
14. GUMBALL MACHINES
If your group of friends is more crafty, this is the perfect Halloweekend outfit for all of you. This costume is made up of a crop top and skirt, lots of pom poms, and some fabric markers to write on the skirt.
15. PIRATES
Pirates are a Halloween, and Halloweekend classic. I love how creative you’re able to get with this costume, meaning that not everyone in your group has to looks the same!

16. SHINY WHITE CLAWS
White claws arethecollege girl drink, and it’s only fitting that you spend Halloweekend dressed up as its most popular drink. This costume is surprisingly easy to put together. Cut up the shirt below for a better fit, add a shiny silver skirt, chunky glitter, and a pair of bright sunglasses to finish off the look.
17. ARMY WOMEN
Toy story fans? This costume is perfect. Equally hot and funny, this is a pretty impressive costume when pulled off to the fullest extent.
18. ALIENS
If you want your Halloweekend to be out of this world, dressing as aliens might be the perfect way to do it. This costume also works well as a last minute costume, since there’s very few costume pieces that are required.

19. SAILORS
I love this creative take on a sailors costume, especially for Halloweekend. For this costume, all you need is a sailors cap, a white tutu, a white crop top, and some suspenders!
